This is female Rufous Hummingbird resting on the branch of a pine tree where she watches and protects the nectar feeder from intruders. She's sitting in a pine tree that was once part of a national forest so the tree is over 200 years old.This is a beautiful image to hang in a child's bed or play room, or promote birds on a tote bag to keep for yourself or give as a gift to a bird enthusiast.

I photograph landscapes and wildlife using my unique perspective to create visual narratives to share my connection to the animals and the environment I love. All of my images are captured as organically as possible to include the animal's habitat and environmental conditions. As a mindful photographer, I always maintain a healthy distance from all wildlife I photograph, and I minimize my impact on the environment by leaving only footprints.
